Annual Reunion Held For Irvingtonians The rain did not prevent the icuriion scheduled recently by the Irvinbtonians. The meeting of friends who had not seen each other for 20 to 30 years brought tears of joy and made this successful reunion a lasting memory. Friends began retelling of past experiences shared, humorous and otherwise. Rev. R. H. Radford Wests Feted Cn 25th Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Radford West celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary recently. They were honored with the presence of more than 100 guests, in their home at 711 E. 27th. The guests included Mesdames Corine Styles, Millie Dowdell, Ruby Avington, Henrietta Lee, Leola Welch, Patricia Jones, and Beatrice John- . on. Also Misses Rose Marie and Nancy Morris. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilson, Rev. Robert West, T. C. Clayton, Jake Robinson, Mrs Altie Pyskin, and Homer Brown. Members of the Janet Club were also present. The table was beautifully decorated with spring flowers, and a 4 tier wedding cake was the center piece. Friends showered Mr. and Mrs. West with many beautiful silver gifts. A lovely turkey and ham dinner was served.
APPROACHING MARRIAGE: Rev. and Mrs. F. H. Moore recently announced the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Freddie Mae to Walter Clyde Brown. The bride-elect will graduate from Manual High School this month, and will attend Porter Business College and Poro Beauty College. Mr. Brown has attended A. & I. State College in Nashville, and is presently taking a course for radio technician. The wedding its to'take place June 26 at Mt Calvary Baptist Church.
Local Music Promoters Install New Officers The Indianapolis Music Promoters closed their fiscal year Sunday with installation of the newly elected officers. Mrs. Ellen T. Meriwether, the founder and first president of the club, installed the officer's charging them to support the confidence and trust they have been empowered with in the execution of the business and activity of the club. AWARDED SCHOLARSHIP: Trying her graduation gown for size, and at the same time receiving a scholarship from Mrs. Constance Dinwiddie. we see Miss Sharon Hale, who will be graduating with a Shortridge cla'ss of 49d. Mrs. Dinwiddie is president of the L'Espirit Club, donors of the scholarship. Miss Hall is planning to attend Howard University, she has received a tuition scholarship. The L'Espirit Club members hope to renew' their scholarship each year.
