An Appreciation The month of May was the close of another year in our pastorate of NEW GARFIELD BAPTIST CHURCH, the entertaining of the 47th Sesaion of Central District Association, also the 30th ANNIVERSARY of our Ministry of which we wish to thank those who helped make it a very happy occasion, with Sister Carrie Mason as chairman and all others who assisted her. We vfriflh to express our gratefulness to the Brotherhood, for the fine work they did in beautifying the Church building. We closed out the month by taking two bus loads and a number of cars of people to Horse Cave, Ky., to a very fine service all day with Rev. Bradley and his people! Again we say Thank You. Rev. and Mrs. Charles Poole.

WHITE—In loving memory of our devoted wife, mother, sister and •grandmother MBS. LAURA WHITE 949 N. Traub Ave who passed away June 5, 1959. Who has Cone so much for so many, we offer our prayer, Oh, Jesus we devoutly, venerate that honored Cross, on which Thou did love us as ever until death. In that death we place all our confidence; henceforth let us live only for Thee, and when dying, let us die on’y loving Thee. Oh Jesus, may the contemplaIkm of Thy sufferings move us to hate our sins and kindle in our
hearts more fervent love to Thee. May Thy image be engraven on our minds until we are transformed into Thy likeness. And we have labored in our groanings every night, we will wash our bed, we will water our oduch with vears. Our eyes are troubled with indignation. We have grown old among our enemies, depart from us the •woikers of iniquity, for the Lord has heard our supplication. 1 he Lord has received our prayer Henry White, Husband Alberta, Daughter Junior and Clifford, Sons, and Grandchildren.
