|Tau Chapter Observes Founders' Day The Founder’s Day program planned by Tau Chapter served a two-fold purpose. The annual Founders’ Day Observance and the organization’s 25th Anniversary. LOCAL TEACHER (PRESENTS VARIOUS AFRICAN SLIDES Mrs. Helen Minor, teacher at public school No. 42, will present a lecture and show African slides Sunday, 7:30 p.m., at the Mt.

Zion Baptist Church.

Mrs. Minor has traveled extensively in the Western and Northern sections of Africa. Her lecture will be on 13 countries in Africa, and will dwell on the political phase, speech of the people, the landscape of the country and the conditions under which they live. TV Viewer and Guest Fly to Hollywood Little did TV viewer Mrs. Alfred Tibbs know that when she wrote her name, address and telephone number, and mailed it, she would be on her way to Hollywood. Mrs. Tibbs, 538 W. 28th, and Mrs. Pauline Gilbert, 912 E. 22nd, left Weir Cook Airport, recently by American Airlines enroute to Hollywood to be guests at the Jack Linkletter television program, “On the Go”. They will check in at the Roosevelt Hotel, in Hollywood. Mrs. Tibbs mailed a card to the show, with her name, address, and telenhone number. The card is placed in what Jack Linkletter describes as a mail bag, with thousands of other cards. The card, picked out of the bag, entitles the person whose name is on the card and a guest to enjoy an expensepaid trip to Hollywood, Both recipients were excited over the trip.
