CHOIR MEMBERS FETE PASTOR AND WIFE AT APPRECIATION DINNER

Rev and Mrs. James E. Collier were recently honored with a banquet, given by the Eastern Star Young Adults Choir, in the base-

ment of the church.

The affair was in appreciation of Rev. Collier’s 16 years service as

supervisor of the choir.

The table was beautifully decorated and a delicious dinner was i

served.

Several members gave remarks in recognition of his services.

The choir will appear under the sponsorship of Capital District Lutheran Men. Fifty-seven select voices, singing entirely a cappella, comprise this concert group. The group is composed of students of Capital University, located in Bexley, a suburb of Columbus. They are under the direction of Dr. Ellis E. Snyder. Several years ago the Choir had the privilege of singing under the

direction of Fied Waring.

PTA at School No. 56 Hears Talk on Mental Health at April Meet At its April meeting the PTA of School No. 56 heard an address by Mrs. Meredith Nicholson of htc Indiana Hygiene Assocciation. Mrs. Nicholson spoke on mental health. In addition to Mrs. Nicholson, a movie was shown on mental health and presentation of awards for winners of the popularity contest. This new “dictionary” has been prepared by the United States Air Force and is being made available through the Indianapolis Air Reserve Center, 222 E. Ohio.
