Market St. announces that his widely known real estate brokerage firm led all other realtor firms in the State of Indiana in sales for the year of 1959. This was the sixth consecutive year that the Savage firm has set the pace in dollar volume of home sales for realtors of the entire state. The year of 1959 was the biggest in the history of the firm with a dollar volume of more than $8 million. One of the contributing factors in the firm’s history making sales volume for 1959 was the firm’s exclusive membership for the Indianapolis area in Trans-American, a national real estate exchange organization, according to Mr. Savage John Bulger led the Savage sales department in 1959 with more than $1.6 million worth of property sold. Frank Sparks, specializing in selling homes for builders and private owners in the Devon area was second in sales volume. Dr. Pettinga joined the Lilly firm as a chemist in 1949 at Argonne National Laboratories, Chicage on a cooperative research program. E, HANIKA, executive secretary of the Indianapolis Auto Trade Assn, announces that dealer members of the organization registered 1808 units (new cars) for the month of February. During the came period or month of 1959 Marion County registrations amounted to 1,556 units Chevrolet topped the list with 469 registrations. Ford was second with 396 units registered.
