I hone that all of you will make plans to h*?ar the 50-voice choir of Indiana Central College who will appear in a concert at New Bethel Baptist Church Feb. 28 at 8. The choir is directed by Allen Schirmen. REV. F. JOHNSON* associate minister of Mt. Paran Baptist Church, was guest speaker last Sunday for the youth worship service of Metropolitan Baptist Church. The youth choir rendened the music. CONGRATULATIONS to Rev. Allen Smith, a student at Yale University, who was recently appointed principal of the Protestant Schdol Of Religious Education. The school, with 2*50 students, is connected with the public school system. As all of you know. Rev. Smith was president of the Indiana Baptist State Youth Convention, and has set a real good example for the youth of this state to follow. THERE ARE MANY lonely people in thiC Marion County Home who do not have any relatives or Iriehds to visit them. Visitors arc needed to call on 26 women and 18 men. If you or your group would like to help out in this project, do send yobr name and address to me. Help bring happiness to the lonely. WE ASK YOUR continued prayer for Billy Graham and his team as they tour Africa preaching God’s Word. The film on his African tour will be ready for showing by June of this year. If you would like to have a film showing in your church in the interest of foreign mission, wrife to me and include the date. TO DATE, 30,000 blankets have been collected for the needy people overseas who must sleep in the streets. I am very grateful for those of you at First Baptist Church. THE YOUNG PEOPLE of the cily. I am proud to say, collected 600 pounds of clothing for the kids overseas during Youth Week. Tiiat was reallv wonderful. A GLOWING TRIBUTE was paid Mrs. Mattie McKinney, a member of First Baptist Church, North Indianapolis, who recently appeared in the National Baptist Union Review'. ‘ She is doing a wonderful job Of a little bit of everything. May God continue io bless her. MISSION GROUP NO. 3 of Simpson Methodist Church had their monthly meeting last Sunday at the church. A luncheon was served. Mrs. J. Crenshaw is president of the group. They are doing such wonderful work with those in the hospital. MRS. MARGARET LYTEL of Shiloh Baptist Church is the new' president of the gospel chorus of the church.
