REV. BERNARD M. JONES Bethel AME Church, Vermont at Toledo Streets, will be the scene of a very unique Holy Communion Service. The World Wide Coramunicn Service, which is held all over the Christian world on the first Sunday in October, is something like an Easter service. This communion service is one of th spiritual high points of the year. The minister. Dr. C. T. H. Watkins, is asking that this Sunday initiate a Christian fellowship and kindle spiritual fires that will be wholesome and last throughoue the fall months and on through the entire
year.
tor the first time in the histofy of the Beth-el Family, will Holy Communion be available all day. The first service begins at tbfe hour of 6 a. m. Children’s Baptismal Rite will be held at the ten o’clock and the ten-forty-five serv-
ices.
The day’s services will close with a candJo light Communion worship*’" beginning at seven o’clock. The Junior Stewardess and the Altar Guild will furnish candle'? for each member and friend attending this very unique service. As each person lights his candle, expecting great things from God, he will utter a prayer. Every member, every friend of Bethel should attend some time during the day. Remember ihe sayings of your God — “Thl? do in remembrarica of Me.”
