TUKEGEE PREXY: Luther Hilton Foster, Jr., 40 years old, was elevated to the presidency of famous Tuskegee Institute at a recent meeting of the board of trustees, becoming the third man to preside over the school founded by the late Booker T. Washington who served as the first president. Since that time the post has been looked upon as one affording and opportunity for the tremendous national leadersh'p and influence. Dr. Foster succeeds Dr. Frederick Patterson who resigned as of June 1 to become educational director of the Stokes-Phelps Fund. Dr. Foster was business administrator of Tuskegee for 11 years before being elected president. He holds a B. S. from both Virginia Stae College and Hampton Institute, a M. B. A. from Harvard and a M. A. and Ph. D. from the University of Chicago.
