Held Mon., July 12 Rev. L. Eberhardt Funeral services for ReV. Lathan T. Eberhardt, age 54. 827 St. Paul st., were held Monday, July 12 in the South Calvary Bapt. church. Burial was in New Crown cemetery. He died Thursday, July 8, in the home of his son, Walter J.
Eberhardt.
A native of Athens, Ga., Rev. Eberhardt pastored a church in Rock Springs, Ga., before coming to Indianapolis 28 years ago. During his residence here, he organized and pastored the St. James Baptist church and later became an associate pastor of the South Calvary church. Survivors besides the son include the mother, Mrs. Celia Eberhardt, Bowman, Ga.; one daughter, Mrs. Ludell Garrett, Berkeley, California; two brothers, John Eberhardt. Indianapolis, and Peter Eberhardt, New York and two sisters, Sarah Eberhardt, New York, and Lizzie Eberhardt, Bow-

MRS. FLORENCE LILLARD’S FUNERAL RITES HELD TUES. JULY 27 Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Minter Lirlard, age 71, 719 Fayette st., wei’e held Tuesday, July 27 in Peoples Funeral home. Rev. J. B. Carter, pastor of the 25th Street Baptist church officiated. Burial was in Floral Park cemetery. She died Saturday, July 24 in her home. Mrs. Lillard, a native of Bowl-; ing Green, Ky., lived here 38 ! years and was a member of Jones [ Tabernacle AME Zion church. She was for 27 years a domestic employe in the home of the late Booth Tarkington, Hoosier auth or. Survivors include two sons. Albert and Samuel Minter, both of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Emma Loving, Bowling Green, and a grandson. Jerome Minter, Baltimore, M$l.

FORMER RESIDENT’S FUNERAL RITES HELD IN DETROIT Mrs. Susie Davis, Chicago, formerly a resident of Indianapolis, died in Detroit Monday, July 12 while visiting. She had gone to Detroit on the morning of her death. She was a resident of Chicago. Funeral services were held in Detroit Friday, July 15. Survivors include the husband, Charlie Davis; two brothers, James Simmons, Indianapolis, and Elijah Simmons. Detroit; four nieces and two nephews.
