WASHINGTON. (ANP)— Sevoral thousand letters have been receive'! deploying the quadruple*! | lynching near Monroe. Ga.. last i July 2:>, according to an official of the Justice Department- last Friday. Though most of the letters come from the north, those from the south and particularly Georgia also term the murder of the> two farm "hands and liieir wives by the 20-odd white mob an ‘•outrage'' and demand federal

action.

“The letters were written by public-spirited ci'izens and by civic. labor and religious and veterans’ organizations. Some were mimeographed by such organizations and signed by individual members," the official asserted. An eloquent, forceful talk was given by Miss Helen Pilgrim, public and Sunday School teacher of Indianapolis. Miss Pilgrim laid a responsibility upon the church of presenting a clear-cut picture of the verities that underlie religious life in such a way that youth can superimpose ! its own life upon a religious yardstick and so determine whether or I not it is living a religious life.
