Many persons of the large audience of adult and young people generously complimented him who was guest speaker for the Youug People’s Organization..- which had charge of the meeting. * Miss Beverly Green, John Beckham, jr., and George Gohagnn and the Young People’s choir rendered special services in the morning. For the evening worship, Rev. E. B. Dunbar, a theological student of Simmons university, delivered an inspiring message that was quite well received by all. Miss Manina Cooper was soloist for the evening. Mrs. W. H. French, Mrs. John Thornton, and Miss Nellie V. Influenza for several days, * The hoys of the community have formed a club which will strive for betterment of the community. Thursday night, they planned a- basketball game at the YMCA against the Hi-Y team. Our team won. * Edward Kimble is manager: Austin Wathan. president; Harold Brown, secretary: and Gene Kimble will be host to the boys Tuesday night. * The musical at the church sponsored by Air. Kimble on the fourth Sunday was a great success. * Rev. and Mrs. Gregory were partisipants on the program,, assisted by their daughters, who played for them and sang many solos. The Junior ehior of Beulah Baptist church, directed by Roy Smith rendered selections. Program proceeds will be used to help buy a church piano. * A free lunrheon was served to Rev. and Mrs. Gregory and members. Mr. Mayes. Rev. and Airs. Hutson. Airs. Cambell, Betty Kimhlennd Airs. Ewing helped in serving the luncheon.

J. Bobo, Helena, Ark. * Aliss L. E. Henderson accompanied the party to West Point Thursday to visit S. M. Henderson and family. ‘ Manuel C’arruthers died suddenly Thursday morning at the home of his daughter. Aliss Eliza Carrntuers, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. William had 8 o’clock dinner for John H. Riley and son Marion, Oceloa, Ark., Clarence Cater, Alemphis; E. J. Bobo, Helena, Ar;, and Willie Vann. ‘ Julius Gordon Jr., Cleveland, O., was here last week with friends. * Junior High school basketball team’s played West Point Public school Friday. * The Girls team won the boys lost their game * There was a barn dance Friday night in O. I. S. dining hail sponsored by the Senior class. .♦ Saturday evening, Charles Thompson. Csicago arrived by bus. He is with his grandmother Airs. Addie Henderson. * The Boys and Girls basketball team of the Industrial school played M. J. College of Holly Springs. * Miss Lois Walker and Airs.
