Saturday, January 2, 1937, S. S. C. Sportsman Club Gives Christmas Party For One Hundred Needy Children Amid the gaiety prevailing during the Christmas'holiday season thoughts of the S. S. C. Sportsman club turned to the less fortunate children of the neighborhood and to make the season one of rejoicing for them, they gave a Christmas party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Miller, 1847 South Keystone avenue, where over one hundred happy kiddies laughed and plaved
with glee. A program and fltor show was given with Dorothy Shute at the piano, Loney Shute, tap dancer, Wm. Rouse, singer, Bobby Johnson, impersonator, and master Charles Payne, master of
ceremony.
Following the kiddies’ party the members entertained their wives and sweethearts with an elaborate Dutch luncheon and dance with music furnished by Jean Rouse and
his band.
