Gamma Tau Club Gives 3rd Annual Dance At Paradise Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas to all! were the words with which Santa Claus greeted the many guests who attended the third annual Dawn Dance given by the Gamma Tau club at the Paradise Gardens, Christmas morning at one o’clock. As the ladies entered the hall, which was decorated with cedars and other significant decorations of Christmas, they were given miniature trees, canes and other favors by .dear old Santa. music.
This being the heighth of the holiday season many out-of-town guests were present and enjoyed the affair, among whom were Lawfence Woodiet of Crawfords .i lit and Adolpii Harrison of Chicago. GUYNN FAMILY HOLDS ANNUAL XMAS REUNION
Children of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Guynn assembled Christmas day around a table from which was served a most delicious turkey dinner observing the 74th birthday anniversary of Mr. Guynn. The affair took place at the home of a daughter, nd son-in-lw, Mr. and Mrs, Theodore Johnson in Harvard place. Before the dinner was served the gifts which were placed on and around the huge Christmas tree were given out by the youngest daughter, Mattie and the old eat grandchildren. This has been & custom with members of the Guynn family for more than twenty years. Out-of-town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Harry Langley and t^elr three children, Louise, Thelma, and Douglas Henry from Terra Haute Haute. Mrs. Langley is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guynn.

Annual Christmas Party Given ‘ By Sorosis Club
Colorful and artistic holiday decorations formed the setting for the annual Christmas party of the Sorosis club which was held Sunday evening at the home of Mrs. Homer Edwards. An informal three-course dinner was served and Christmas gifts . were exchanged. Cards were the main feature of the evening. Prizes were awarded : Prophet Curtis, Homer Edwards, and Mrs. Dave Clark. The club prophecy was written and read by Mrs.'Hobson Zeigler.
Members of Club Receive Bonuses
A delectable chicken dinner was served by Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Johnson, 314 Harvard place, Wednesday evening at the regular meeting of the Hollywood Eight club. Prizes were won by John Dabner, Ted Johnson and Mrs. John Tanner. Bonuses were given to the members in three degrees. Those having won the largest number of prizes during the year received the first bonus, the second largest the second bonus and so forth. The first bonus was split three way the following arsons having won an equal number of prizes during the year: Mrs. John Dabner, Mrs. John Tanner and Mrs. Ted Johnson; third bonus, John Tanner.

Lovely Dinner Is Given For Friends Of Maddex Family SEYMOUR, Ind—Mr. and 'Mrs. Edgar Maddex and daughter, Blanche Shelton, entertained with a three-course dinner Sunday, in their home on Lynn street. The house was artistically decorated in keeping with the Christmas atmosphere. Place-cards were little houses with cedar trees. After dinner a program was given and games played. Aurora Pledge Club Entertains With Holiday Dinner Members of the Aurora Pledge club of the Sigma Gamma Rho sorority entertained Saturday evenipg with a holiday dinner party at the home of Soror Helen Brooks which was Beauftifully decorated with cedar and holly wreaths and lighted with red candles. The hostess distributed from the brightly lighted Christmas tree individual gifts and candy-filled packages to all.. In a game of conundrums, Mrs. Frances Stewart was crowned belle of the party, while prizes were won by Sorors Helen Brodks and Ruth Gardner. Impromptu speeches were made toy Sorors Maureline (Bailey, Helen Brooks, Ruth Gardener, and Settle Williams. Among the pledgees, speeches were given by Para Lee Jones, Helen Morgan, and Vivian Woods. Throughout the evening Christmas carols were rendered with Helen Morgan at the piano. Mistress of ceremony was Beatrice Elliott. Joy Grafters Give Fourth Annual Christmas Party, President Receives Surprise Gift On last Friday evening the home of Miss Bertha Neeley, was the scene of the fourth annual Christmas party, given by the Joy Grafters club. In keeping with the season, the decorations consisted of holly wreaths, bells, tinsel, and a large Christmas tree upon which were placed the exchange gifts for members of the club. Following the precedent established this year, gifts from the club were also given Mrs. David Lewis and Mrs. Percy Jones, whose birthdays were in December.
Miss Mattie Irvin, president, re • ceived a surprise Christmas gift from the members in appreciation for her splendid leadership during this year. The dining table was very attractively spread with a buffet Dutch luncheon after which a variety of cocktails and beer
were served.

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Abernath er entertained Friday at their home on West 25th street witli a very delightful dinner party. Guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Bruce of Benton Harbor, Mich.. Mr. ami Mrs. F. D. Clay, Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Hoggatt, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Valentine, and children, Herschel Fant, F. D. Clay, Jr., Katie Winfield and Lucille Clay. After dinner gifts were exchanged.
Esther White Chorus Gives Convention
Ester White chorus of the Jones Tabernacle church will give the Slal>-Town district convention January 5 at 8 p. m. at the church. The public is invited to hear Mrs. Fiannelatte Jonesbury fight for her rights.
Chautauqua By B. Y. P. U. Central District Success Cooperation of the various local B. Y. P. U.’s of the city and local ministers contributed much to the success of the mid-winter Chautauqua given by the Central District B. Y. P. U. convention with Mrs. Dorothy A. Johnson as president. Ministers and other denominational workers taking part were: Rev. J. T. Hlghbaugh. Rev. H, T. Tolliver, Rev. A. Batts. Rev. F. F. Young, and Mrs. Young, Rev. J. T. Weeden, Mrs. Lucille Miles, Rev. S.- S. Thomas, Miss Virbie Wolf and others. Approximately 165 were served at the charutauqua.
