R>t~ r ' f ov Hemy Dyer, age 81, 2221 N. Winter avenue, were held last. Monday from St. John Baptist church with Rev. S.. S. Reed officiating, burial was in Wood Haven cemetery. He died at his residence following a long illness; for many years he was well known on the eastside and made many friends out there. He was horn in aseville. Ky., July 2. 1855, and came to this city in 1905 to make his home. He tesided on the east side for over thirty years, during which he was j active at St. John Baptist church. His survivors are: widow. Mrs. Anna Dyer; daughter. Mrs. So- , phronia Pro vet; son. Walter Dy- ' er; brother. James Dyer; stepbrother. James Smith; grandchildren. Walter Dyer. Jr., and Norma Jean Dyer, and many other relatives and friends. .

Site was horn in Hopkinsville, Ky., Aug. 1880, and came to this city to live in 1914; site was also an active member at ME Paran Baptisi church. The rites were held from the chapel of John A. Palton Funeral Homo with Rev. J. D. Carter, assisted by Elder Robert Tobin, and Rev. F. Jefferson, officiating. Survivors are: sous. Anthony Barnett and John Willis; sister. Mist.
