Vanity Bridge Club Dances Informally at the Paradise

The Vanity Bridge Club entertained four hundred guests last Friday evening, at an informal dance at Dee’s Paradise

Garden.

The c hall was beautifully decorated with cut flowers and palms which made a lovely scene as the beautifully gowned ladies and their escorts danced to the fascinating strains o f music. The orchestra stage was decorated with palms. A dance program of electric lights was stationed east of the orchestra with a dance number dedicated to each member. Officers and members of the club are: Mesdames, Willa Martin, president; Zenia Goodloe, vice-president; Ossie Howard. secretary-treasurer; Ruby Middleton, parliamentariah, and Theresa Givens, Lula Owsley. Mae Owsley, Florence Edmerson, Lelia Clements, Louise Hodge, Eiola Starks, and Mrs. Rose Wright. Out-of-town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Klondike Tucker of Bloomington, Indiana, and Mrs. Olia Dawson of Nashville, Tennessee.

Sorority Plans Initiation The Zeta Phi Beta sorority met at the residence of Mrs. Caroline Cain’s. 2845 Paris avenue. Plans were made for the initiation of the fallowing pledges: Mrs. Marion Dftuglas, Mrs. Gladys Byers and Miss Edna Graves. An initiation banquet will follow. Louise F. Harris, treasurer and reporter. The G. U. O. Of O. F. and Households Of Ruth, held a Joint installation of officers on Friday evening January l!)th.
