New Drug Clerk at the Eureka.

Mr. Orlando Rodman of Frankfort, Ky. has accepted a position with the Eureka Drug Store, and will finish his pharuiacutical education at the W ynona Technical Institute. Mr. Bodman has had three years experience with G W. Gale, druggist ot Frankfort and comes to Indianapolis highly recommended by his former employer. This is a ’door of hope” open up to an ot ter bright young man of our race and we njre proud to say opened by our own people. We hope that our people will readily grasp the opportunity to patronize our own business enterprises and thus make desirableopen ings for our own boys and girls that are so anxious to make themselves useful and creditable in the profes-

sional and mercantile world.

This is certainly the solution of the great so-called race problem. When we have learned to support our own professional and business enterprises, and pul our strength, our money, our influence together and thus support the race, then there will be notrace problem. ‘’Respect yourself andothers will respect you, holds good also in our case as a race. Think of the number of business enterprises we might have in this city. Think of the number of clerks, stenographers, bookkeepers, salesman, etc., that we might have among our boys amd girls that we are educating each year. We certainly have the people, and we certainly have the money to spend and we spend it just the same, hut do we always get the good out of it for our own race and

and people?
