December 15^-The annual report of the census bureau, made public by Director Kogera. estimate* that the recent nation-wide enumeration, covering a period of three yearn ending June 16, hurt, cost $13,765,660. As only $22,556,606 Was appropriated by the cocgreee for the purpose, the bureau will be required to ask for a deficiency appropriation
of $1,216,606.
