Bailey, an attorney, of this city, acx**irt Mr. and Mrs. Kdward Crocker, formerly of this city, in the erimlBal court at Crown Point, charging the kidnapping of the nine-year-old daughter of Prank Pillmap. of East Chicago, formerly of this city.
Min. Crocker, the mother, and former wife of Pi 11 man, had the custody of the child until a modification of the order in the Porter superior
child to the care of its father. Mr. and Mrs. Crocker and two friends are under arrest at Racine, Win It is alleged that they went to the Pill-
court here two weeks ago gave the man home in East Chicago while Mrs.
Pilbnan was alone, and, after pointing a revolver at her and knocking her down, took the child away in an automobile. Extradition papers have been asked

Hays, chairman of the Republican national committee, who has been here since the fore part of the week, has met numbers of delegations of residents of the national capital who are interested in the chairmanship of the local committee that will arrange for the display that will go with the Inauguration of Presl-dont-elect Harding and Vice-Presi-dent Coolidge, March 4.
