More than 2,000 school children in Indianapolis are forced to attend school only in half-day sessions because of the crowded condition of the school bafkUngs since the opening of the schools Tuesday, EL U. Graff, suP«Hhtehdent of schools, announces. The half-day sessions are being held in about sixty classes in schools scattered throughout the city. Mr. Graff said, and the average number of pupils for these classes is about forty. ConKestipn in the schoolrooms has been avoided, but a crowded condition exists at nearly every school building in the city, it was stated. Mr. Graff said there is not a schoolroom in the city that is not being used to house capacity classes. The holding of halfdsy sessions handicaps the work at the beginning of the school year for both the pupils and the teachers as many classes will fall behind the routine schedule in their work.
