A bid which bore a discount of f198.190.7$ on an issue of 11,845,000 worth of 4% per cent, twenty-year school bonds was accepted by the | board of school commissioners of Indianspolis late Saturday. The bid for the bonds, made jointly by the W. R. Compton Company of St. Louis and the Meyer-Kiser Bank. Indianapolis, was for 81,449,809.25. The only other bid submitted was for an even smaller sum. It was for *1,423.7*2, and Was submitted by Breed. FlHott it Harrison, the Union Trust Company of Indianapolis, tjje Harris Trust and Savings Bank and the Continental and .Commercial Trust Savings Bank of Chicago. The school board in closed session discussed the advisability of accepting the higher bid.
