Prevention, Science and Cure, represented by dancing girls, formed one of the pretty scenes in the Supreme day pageant at Arsenal Technical schools Friday afternoon as they chased away Disease and Microbes. The scene is typical of the celebration that showed many epochs of the school’s history. On stage in the background are Indianapolis, Our Nation, Columbia and two children before whom the panto-
mime was enacted, and other allegorical characters.

One of the most Impressive ecenes was in the second of the five epochs, when the Indians, whose home was on the sit# of the Arsenal grounds, were summoned by their Great Father to go westward. The Great Father, In full w'ar dresn. arose from the background of foliage, surrounded by red fire and pointed solemnly to the west. From that period, the growth of the white men’s civilization made up the story, centering on the work which the government arsenal, the Winona Arsenal Technical Institute, and finally the Arsenal Technical Schools, have done for the city and
the nation.

Leaders of the strike professed entire confidence In their abllitr to tie up the liner before the end of the day. Company officials asserted places of the strikers already bad been filled by "reserve'' employes. The strike was called at . o'clock yesterday afternoon, following the refusal of Llndley M. Kin Hubbard’s famous Brown county character, Abe Martin, is to cavort in musical comedy next sea- ^ son under the direction of Boyle Wool folk, a Chicago producer, arrangements to this effect having been completed today by Henry K. Burton, who recently obtained from Mr. l Hubbard the exclusive stage rights to I Abe Martin for a period of years. Mr. | Woolf oik visited Indianapolis last Wednesday and held a conference with Mr Burton and Mr. Hubbard relative to the nature of the production.
