There is No Panacea A well known mao the other day said, "There ia no paftacea for the tils of the world." Xo one man can bring forward a cure-all that will magically relieve the present dissatisfaction caused by hi|pb prices. In touch as we are with the markets of the world, we confess we can not make any accurate prediction as to when prices will come down, or offer any solution. The problem is fundamental and is due to lack of raw materials, lack of production. and lack of transportation facilities. While We Can Not Control Economic Condition* we can at least do everything in our power to keep down prices on the merchandise which passes through our hands. For more than «« years, it has been the policy of this store to operate on the smallest margin of profit. We have not deviated from this policy at this time, lured by the fact that the public has been taught to expect advanced prices. Aa a result Pettis prices are consistently low on the best kind of merchandise we can obtain. * The merit of this way of doing business is shown by the constant daily increase of this business.

Nemo Corsets Made of Government Airplane Cloth—and Priced Only
The Favored SelfReducing Model—
Lighter Than Ever— Stronger Than Ever
With corsqt prices at the highest peak, Nemo scores a great coup in bringing prices down by the use of U. S. government grade A, mercerized airplane cloth. It has the distinction of having the maximum strength with the minimum thickness. It is delightfully thin (just right for a summer corset) and yet it withstands a pressure of 80 pounds to the square inch. It was used for plane wings, you see, but it is pretty and dainty in spite of its origin. What These Corsets Are
Second Day of the Great Sale of Specially Purchased Women’s
They are just the same splendid Self-Reduc-ing Nemo Corsets that women have grown to know and to value—but they are lighter than usual. Much lighter, but not one bit less strong.
The model is designed for the comfort of medium and full figures. The long skirt correctly controls heavy hips and the Nemo self-reducing straps support and reduce the abdomen. The diagonal boning does its part in giving the much desired straight lines.
