WASHINGTON, April 23.—A pilgrimage to Mt. Vernon for the pur- [ pose of placing wreaths on the tombs of George and Martha Washington was the chief event on the program for today’s session of the continental congress of the Daughters of the American Revolution. A report of the resolutions committee and other routine business occupied the time of the delegates in the forenoon. The election of Mrs. George Maynard Minor as president-general and the other national officers was announced late last night. Their installation will take place tomorrow. , Mrs. Minor, of Waterford, Conn., I was unanimously elected presidentgenera], to succeed Mrs. George Thacher Guernsey, of Kansas. AH the candidates /or executive officers on Mrs. Minor's ticket were elected without opposition, the only contest being for viee-presldents-general. Twelve candidates were nominated for seven posts. Vice - presidents - general elected were: Mrs. Cassius C. Cottle. Los Angeles; Mrs. Edward L. Harris, Cleveland; Mrs. James T. Morris. Minneapolis; Mrs, Charles 8. Whitman. SUICIDE MYSTERY SOLVED.

Finger Prints Lead to Ide*tt«catio* of Body Found Near Wanatah. (Special to The Imhaaapobs News! LAPORTE, Ind., April 23.—Finger prints led to the identification today of the man who committed suicide in a field near Wanatah, and whose body was discovered Wednesday, with a revolver beside it. Sheriff Mathias, of Toledo, his deputy, Leo Noonan, and railroad detective* from Tiffin, said that the man was Albert Loach, of Tiffin, who recently was in custody for a 635.000 silk robbery in Toledo. Loach shot the Toledo sheriff and escaped. TO DEPORT VON KARP.

AUyea’s name figured in the evidence of the case just cloned. Jesse Demaree, of Greensburg, will he taken to prison with hi* brother. He confessed his part in the robberies about a month ago and was sentenced to a term of two to fourteen years in the state prison for conspiracy, but was held in jail here to be used as a witness by the state. His testimony was of •• value, because he took the

blame for all of the robberies of which the Demarees were accused. Besides Boas and Jesse Demgree, the five other defendants named in the joint affidavit are Ed Demaree. a brother of Boas and Jesse, who is serving a term in the State Prison for manslaughter; Frank Demaree, another brother, who has never been found; Clara Demaree, wife of Boas Demaree; Mose Lowe, and Allyea.
