orders from outalda buyers again contributed strength to the aelUng aide and thia resulted in a further advance of 9 cent* in prioes. Kingan ft Company, who apparently were unable to get any of the good hogs Friday, obtained onehaff of the supply and paid 91.9 for the good hoga weighing 19 pounds up. That price wma followed by other buyers for moat of their hogs but finally a few loads ranged aa high aa UlM. Thera was some gain in pricea of throwouta. the Miie of pigs going as high as 91-fiO

a^odd sows aa high as |129. There was a lose of 2.000 hf«s this

week compared with receipts last week but the supply was 2,000 largw than in the Mme week a year ago and for the month to date there ia a gain of 31.09 hogs compared with the same time a year ago. This ta an avwage increase of more than 1.000 hogs a day which is eaual to 27,000 more hogs for^the month

than in last August.

Owners were disappointed because of a net decline of in prices from the Close laat weak to the middle of this week and buyers were surprised when prioea turned in the other direction and went up faster than they had gone down. A week ago the bulk of the good hogs aold at 9Bo, Wednesday of this week at 90.86 and Saturday at 221.9 so that there was a net gain of 26 cents for the week In pricea of most of the hogs. The top price is 9.05 higher than in imst Wi^neaday's market.'40c h^her than a week ago and 9.9 lower than the highest record of this market

.-erlng8. There was a little demand from killers but speculators, a* usual on Saturday, were the moat in evidence. A aenaatkm in the calf market was the sale of a veal at 29.00 a hundred pounds, the highest price ever paid here and 26.9 higher than the former record, July 10. The animal is what killers call a '^ttle calf.” and because of Its peculiar growth Is said to produce much more dressed meat than the ordinary calf. This calf was of Polled Diirham breed, only eight weeks old. and brought the owner, Samuel Atkina, Amo, Ind.. 178,00. It was aold by Mansfield ft Co. to Ctoorge Gardner. There was little net change in the list of prices of the various kinds of female butcher cattle this week compared with the cloae last week and only a part Of a decline of 9.9 to 9.00 in price# of steers was finally recovered. Sellers»really had the advantage in a decrease of nearly 2,000 cattle In the receipts, compared with the preceding week, but there geemed to be a corresponding slump in the demand for dreseed beef. If there was any change In the situation In the last few days, it was said to be favorable to the selling side. Little permanent change was doftn this week in the list of prices for the various grades of calves, but finally the bulk of the sales were 50c to $1.9 higher than the low time in the week. The demand for feeding cattle this week was disappointing to sellers, but prices were not affected iind they are considerably higher than a low period some time ago. Cattle. A “Peerless” High-Speed Reamer Is tough^' thmn the toughest carbon reamer— The high-speed steel blades are brazo^rdened into the carbon steel body.

We’ve watched this reamer prove itself in countless cases during the past ten years— We KNOW it’s tougher than any other reamer. We frankly regard it as the ULTIMATE, high speed rwraer— Because it not only is a BETTER high speed reamer— tougher and far less liable to breakage—but it actually costs less than the old time brittle type.
