.-VWV 1 '
Not Merely Reduced But Tremendously Lowered in Price
The reductions are half, near one-half and more than half. With the exception, of course, the brand-new arrivals for spring and southern wear and the new
evening gowns just out of their tissue wrappings.
We had intended to fill this space with descriptions and price quotations— We scarcely knew where to begin— It is such an immense event—it comprises so many hundreds of garments that it seems advisable at the present, at least, to omit details. It’s too big to itemize. The important feature to remember is that it comprises our winter stock in its entirety. It present selections as great as though we were starting a season instead of launching a sale. It presents garments of the finer order—the smart, beautiful, distinctive clothes in the newer fashions—appealing to women who want their attire to reflect good taste and discrimination.
It presents not merely savings—but reductions so sweeping as to make this event something new in garment selling! It was the firm opinion of every one that saw the garments and the new price tickets—that this January Sale would so far surpass previous events—that there ^vould be no comparisons. Everything is ready. A greatly augmented salesforce is in readiness to serve you. While every offering in this sale is a notable one—some are more pleasing than others. Bear in mind, too, please—that it is the custom of The House of Fashions to buy the least possible number of garments of a kind. So in order to get the best out of the sale it is the part of wisdom to come early. Sale opens promptly at 8:30.
TLi7 1 Ilio Odlo Knows No = Limitations —Consider Even the fine Baffin Seal Plush Coatees and long coats that so strikingly resemble fur coats and which are scarce even art regular prices, are in-this sale—greatly reduced. It includes fine tricclire and velour suiis, in models that will be desirable for spring wear. In includes coats in cape effects (“capes” are high in favor for spring). In includes the magnificent a 11 i re in the French salons.
