ACCUSED OF DISLOYALTY.
Greencagtte Woman Receivea Hear^ Ing Before County Defense Elody. [Special to The Indianapolis News] GREENCASTLE. Ind.. Au«U8t 14.Mr*. Jeifttle Wolf*, wife of Michael Wolfe, a barber of this city, received a pubUe hearing before the Putnam county council of defense last nighL after having been accused of making unpatriotic remarka Mrs. Charles Picket made the charge. The women w®re employed at the canning plant of the Reld-Murdoch Company, when they had an argument about the kaiser last Saturday. A halfdosen women testified that they heard Mr*. Wolfe say she had too much Dutch and German blood in her to have them talk in ner presence' about the kaiser, and that “old Wilson made mistakes as well ag* the kaiser." Mrs. Wolfe testified that she told the women th*y could not talk about the kaiser or any one else while worktaur, because they could not work and talk at the same time. The council heard the evid^ce before a jmeked room. The case will be referred to federal authorlties. _ * BUTLER IW THE LIST. To correct this he recommended the adoption by employers generally of a "peraonnel departmenL” to investigate why each employe quits and take measures to retain valuable workers.
