Engaged In Construction Work Many Years—Formerly Lived Here. Friends to this city have received
word of the death In a Cincinnati hospital of Joseph WYiStaker. who formerly lived at Thirteenth street and Cornell avenue. Indianapolis. Mr. Whitaker for many years was connected with various construction companies and was in that line of work when he lived in Indiana-
polis. Later he was superintendent of a company which made extensive excavations for extra tracks for the New York Central railroad near Kingston, New York. More recently he had had charge of work In Cincinnati and Hamilton, O., and was a resident of Ham-
ilton, 0„ at the time of his death. He was about forty-six years old and is survived by the widow and three sons, Raymond. Norman and Benjamin. His death was caused by heart failure. Relatives of Mr Whitaker live In Indianapolis and at Thorntown. Mrs. W.
E Jackson, 137 East Thirtieth street, Indianapolis. is a niece.
