Imagine his surprise when he returned to And another group. Undaunted. the inventor took on another load a- £ repeated the trip. At each return he found a new group waiting, but he kept at it until he had entertained more than 160 prospects. • I am like a kid with a school vacation.” said the inventor. "I like to sise my car In the store windows as I ' mg I am mighty proud of the \o. It I had my way about construction I would not try to reach a large output In one season I would rather go slower, for the reward would be greater in the end. In Public Eye. *Tn my opinion there Is not attvautomobite In the world that is so muhh in the public eye as this steam machine. Right here in Chicago we could sell so many DeOtes, If we bad them built, that all records for motor car sales would have Just received from Uncle Sam five basic patents on »PP^ces ‘n addition to many others I hold. Economy Is becoming one of the most Important problems of transportation. Especially U this so of fuel. We use kerosene^ starting Instantly on this fuel, the i Doble Is capable of fifteen miles or more a gallon. The Standard Oil Company Is planning to have keroseen tanks at every one of Its gas stations.-and win deliver kerosene at SH cents » gallon. That means a lot for fuel students^ Another thing, there Is no odor or carbon trouble borr. from kerosene " Mr. Doble was pleased at his experience and opportunity to act as chauffeur for the hundreds of Chicago people, and indicated that he might try and repeat the program in other cities. $10,000 CHASSIS FOR SHOW The IIO.GW eight-cylinder Oldsmobile cutaway chassis Is to be shown at the automobile show during the Indiana state fair. NEW BODY DESIGN BROUGHT OUT BY PREMIER COMPANY
Is Known as Llmoulslne-Sedan— Top Built Integral With the Body. The Premier Motor Corporation, which has acquired a reputation for doing the orlglnaJ thing in body designs, as instanced by their origination and development of the now famous Cloverleaf
and Foursome roadster models, has come to bat with something even more striking and original than anything they have done heretofore. A new Premier model which promisee to stimulate a mild revolution in motor car body design Is the Premier limou-sine-redan. In this car the top Is built Integral with the body and In such an ingenious way as to permit of the car being almost instantly converted into either a limousine, a sedan or an open summer touring car. The whole scheme of the car is based on a clever manipulation of the glass panels which, when not in use, drop into cushioned pockets built Into the
side body panel* and so constructed that the glass can not rattle or break. Aside from being extremely ingenious, the new Premier limousine-sedan is a decidedly good looking Job, partaking freely of European closed job standards. The Premier Motor Corporation, it is said, will build these car* in comparatively limited quantities and will carry current with It the Premier touring car and the Premier foursome.
