At a meeting last night of Fifth ward cltlsen* who are making the fight against Joseph Haas, the dead animal contractor, on the charge of throwing dead animals Into White river and along Its banks, it w»* decided to postpone the legal proceeding* to be taken against Haas until after the election. The meeting was at the grocery of Barnard King, In West Walnut street, and w»* well attended. An effort ha# been made to show that the prosecution of Haas was for political purposes The cases will he postponed until after election day to disprove this charge Citizens say they only wish to protect themselves in fighting Haas An injunction will be asked to forbid him dumping anywhere In the neighborhood when the case# are opened, and criminal proceedings will also be Instituted.
