Nothing Important in local speculative trade There is a gfwd deal of bullish sentlment both on the damage to wheat in the Northwest and on the small world s crop, but we are inclined to think that with nothing new ir» the situation these! have been pretty well discounted We are i coming to the time when in all pro ha- | blllty stocks of wheat will begin to increase With short demand at its present j rate, they are likely to increase quite rap-
idly.
Domestic milling demand is less urgent n.id domestic mills are probably fairly well slocked for Immediate wants. As beat I v us we learn, prices in the market for contract wheat and for No. 2 hard wheat are 4c to 5e out of line with European markets. This Is a difference winch must sooner or later ad)u*t Itself With hotter weather throughout the West, the interior movements should Increase. On the whole, we rather feel that wheat should l»e sold on the hard apots lor the next few weeks. Of course, should Hie ex^sirt demand materialize on any considerable scale, this would ■ lionge the position, but so far there are no heir atuiiis of M. Corn Market was "heavy and lower.
