Train Went Throuflh a Traatle Near Cairo—Nobody Killed. CAIRO, 111., October 22. — Passenger train No. 2, on the Big Four, last evening went through a burned trestle, near Parker, and of the forty passenger* only a few received slight Injuries. The train, composed of a baggage and two passenger car*, left Cairo at 3 o’clock with conductor Theodore Andrus, engineer John Connor*, fireman L J. Barth and mall agent E. M. Harris. When going twenty nulas an hour, engineer Connors saw ■moke ahead. He Immediately shut off ■team, reversed hla lever, applied the airbrake. and. with hi* fireman, jumped. The engine plunged fifteen feet Into the ravine. The baggage car followed. [■pedal to Th* Indianapolis New*.] NEW ALBANY, Ind., October 22.—Supreme Court Judge Alexander Dowling had a wild ride through the streets here yesterday afternoon, behind a runaway horse. The horse took fright In Falrview cemetery am ran half a mile before Judge Dowling was able to stop It by running It Into a building. He guided the horse around several corners and barely missed passing vehicles. The carriage was broken in the collision with the building.
