The Orient and the Occident may be ransacked lnvaln for the matchless curiosities that are crowded Into this one spot In the heart of the Rocky mountains. In the park are 4.000 beautiful hot springs and a hundred geysers; a mountain of black glass; three mountains of pure sulphur;.a real volcano; scores of mountains whose altitudes range from 9,000 to 15.0-V) feet, many of them capped with snow that never melts; there are a hundred waterfalls, the largest being that of the Yellowstone river, with a fall of 360 feet; the grand canyon of the Yellowstone, the subllmest spectacle on thi globe; the greatest forest reserves In the United States; 35,000 e.k, thousands of tame deer and antelope and countless droves of smaller animals that have their habitat in the Rocky mountains, besides the finest trout fishing !n the United States or any other country. This will probably be the banner year for park visitors, as the great reserve Is in excellent condition and the early spring out there hos brought into bloom nearly all of the 618 kinds of wild flowers that carpet the bills and valleys and mountains.”
