Price-Fight Traffic. The passenger men are making an effort to secure business from Indianapolis and sorrounding territory for the prizefight at Carson City. The Pennsylvania and Vandalia will have a train. The Cincinnati. Hamilton ft Dayton will run one from Cincinnati via Indianapolis, and the Big Four will start one from this city with a car from Cincinnati attached. The Chicago ft Alton will have a car from this city to be attached to its train at Chicago, and there is a possibility that a larger crowd will leave Indianapolis for the prlse-flght than Is going to Washington to attend the Inauguration.

Passenger equipment at the time of the consolidation consisted of 19 coaches in service and 8 passenger, mall and express* caw, making a total of 27. Of these 3 have been destroyed. There were 32 locomotives, 2 were sent to the scrap pile, leaving 30 In service. On the 1 Illinois ft St Louis at the time of. the consolidation there were 416 freight cars. Of these 79 cars have been lost, destroyed or - unlocated, leaving 367. The passenger equipment In service December Si, UN, consisted of 8 cars and 10 loco-

The Consolidated company since the apintment of receivers ha* acquired and sb on hand 98 flat car*, 611 coal cars, 482 fx cars, 24 furniture cars. 8 caboose*, making a grand total acquired by the organisation and in service 1,074. The passenger equipment is 16 coaches and cars,

The report shows that ths obligations for various kinds of oars and locomotives were $371,*79.90, on which has been _pa.d $262,OS.*). leaving a balance of $106,653.80. The total amount of Interest paid on defaulted Rotes by receivers amounts to $2,531.21. The American Loan and Trust Company of New York la entitled lien on 937 flat, ooal, box, stock and oafboose cars, three cars called main tensnce-of-way cars, 26 passenger, mall, etc., cars; also 30 locomotives. The Trust company Is also entitled to a Hen on 367 freight cars on thi> Illinois, ft St. Louis, eight passenger, mail and express caw.

Tfce Oar Movement.

The heavy falling off in the loaded-car movement last week is accounted for by i the soft weather which made the roads so muddy that the farmers could not haul in export grain, the freight blockade at Newport News and Baltimore, and the h.gh water at Cincinnati. The number of leaded cars was 16,400, against 18.287 In 1896. The total car movement was 22,664, against 22,621. The lines handled cars as follows; New Monon, 378, against 418. Indiana, Decatur ft Western, 508, agamst 412 Ctocinnati, Hamilton ft Dayton, 744, against 726.
