An old-time song is about the “Rooky Soad to Dublin.” Some of the people in the narttawtorn part of Urn city think another should be written and called “Clifford Avanue’s Terrible line.” They say np there that the cars have snch an affinity for each other that the four of them frequently get together and whisper words of lore, and it is a common occurrence for one ear to get off the tmek and warble, ‘Tm Waiting, My Darling, for Thee,” until its mate appears. Of course the people do not warble, that is sjr do not warble in long meter. It is id, too, that the track has it* back up, too, ntinaally, probably because the care get such long rests and it gets none. Even the mud takes to water, and in sheer desperation spreads itself orer the surrounding country. Mr. Mud is said to be jealous of the small amount of attention the cars pay to the tracks. The citizens want an electric line and are making up a subscription at the rate of $25 a lot to pay for one. Official*
