Frank Crews, a Vandalia brakeman, was found dead in his caboose at Terre Haute on Saturday, and, while appearances indicated suicide, the absence of Michael Shngnte, of Reno, who had been his companion, and his missing watch, cast a suspicion that he had been murdered. Yesterday Shogrne reported to the Terre Haute authoritiee, and he explained that while he aad Craws were together, ne saw Craws atari a gold watch from a woman. Crews took the watch to Indianapolis, where he traded it for a silver watch, receiving the difference in cash. Friday night Shngrue heard that the police were looking for Crews, end be notified tbe latter, who gave him the silver watch and begged him to get out of town. Shugrue then went to Brazil, but upon bearing that Crews had killed himself, he returned to Terre Haute. Transactions te Beal Estate.
