Case et al. vs. Isabella Colter. Franklin C. C. Keveraed. Perkin*, J. Case, A sheriff gold land upon foreclosure to John Colter, as agent for his wife, for whom he assumed to act He was not in fact her agent. Afterwaids the sheriff, for the purpose of inducing the wife of *atd Colter to accept his acts and thus ratify the seme, represented to her tb»* -- taiu valuable improvements were included in said sale and constituted a largo Item of the value. Said representations were untrue, but having no knowledge upon the subject and relying upon said representations. Raid wife promised to take said property, and paid five hundred doilars upon the bid. A complaint by said wife agaiast the sheriff averred the above facts, and that no written memorandum of the sate was made, and demanded judgment for said sum so paid. Chicago, October 8.—Chicago elevators, as per official returns, contain 3,'<54,621 bushels of wheat, 3,473,119 bushels of corn, 601,522 bushels of oats, 84,492 bushels of rye, 881,849 bushels of barley, making a grand of 7,6o2,lu3 bushels, against 6,999,164 bushels a week ago, and 5,853,280 bushels at this period last year. Milwaukee warehouses are stored with 925,359 bushel* of wheat. 7 .536 bushels of corn, 12 875 bushels of oat*, 17,439 bushels of rye, and 395,260 bushel- of barley.
