John Cone, charged with the murder of Cnpt. Jack, the West Washington street saloon-keeper, September 27, IS'3, will be tried early next mouth, George Poising* r. horse steaiiag, will be tried as soon as certain depositions to be taken in Cincinnati are forthcoming. James Dale, tbe burglar shot by Myren Dixon, will be tried aeon. The wenad in bis thigh which or a long time was an ugly one has finally healed. Win. Two two-story frame dwellings occupied by the families ef Alonzo Boyd and James Owens were burned to the ground. Mr. Owens succeeded in saving bis furniture; in the other esse the contents went with tbe building. The bouses were valued at $700 each.

Fiddler seeing how the land lay, turned state’s evidence and told what he knew about the hara burning and many ether crimes in which he and hi* accomplices were concerned.
