Blslit laulnjr* itwtvrceit tbe Bluca nutl Utmiona—Tie, t t.ach. Tha B tiasand Bo*.»on* played only ei^ht inaingi jtBterday afternon, and lh» BlatB bed the gnine until Qi.eat kit bii oead ana Flint overthrew to third in the seven h innirg B ith e.rors cost a run and tied the score. I r.or to tb>a, in the fifth inuing. Wariifr. who had on hm pianns clothts. made first on a grounder to th rJ too hot fur a flesh hand to hold. Itwas a stin^r Second and third were m*de by repid and judicious base running, aider by poor throwing by the ca'cher. aud the home plat# wes crossed on Cuthbert s lv\v fly ovt-r third. In the sevento, after Nolan bad been fielded out at iihs’. by short (a spicy hit ard sf 1 spicier throw). Fiiut pasted one ov r third, and went to second on Warner s safe one m same direction. While Cuthbart was at the bat Warner played off first -in a tantalizing style until tbe pitcher fielded to cut hitn off. When the ball started Werner broke for second, ami Fiiut for third, and the two dodged between the bases, tbe ball flying bttec and forth, nntil a mot*, by third saved their bacon and gave them ti e coveted positions. Better base rnnning is afidum seen. Oathbert landed heavily upon a grounder which struck Morrell in in? breast and glanced ofl toward the amphitheater, and wbiio Morrell was runniug for the ball Cathbert took second and Flint and M-Sorley .scored. It is indefinite to say tbe audisare cheered—it bowled, and stsmoed, and tossed hats, and even the ladies—God b ess ’em—patted pretty heels on tbe floor and flashed aloft breezy handkerchiefs and gli'terirg bracelets After reaching second ( nthbert dodged behind short in a provoking manner, ana when, in his eagerness, the catcher dropped a ball at bis feet, the second’s delay found Cathbert on third McSorley stiffened up under tbe exhilerating atmosphere, and sent a daisy cutter toward center which added another run. The score now stood 4 to 0, and when tbe Bostons came filing in there was trouble in the air. Shafer led off with a base hit; Brown sent tbe bail ballooning over left field, filling second and thiid, and Wright tallied Sbaler (Brown going to third) and took first, while McSorley threw home a hot grounder past pitcher. Leonard's sky escape betw een center and right scored Brown, Wright clutching third, and the last named came home on O Konrke’s slow bennder to Quest—he getting confused, and fielding O Rourke out at first inst-ad of throwing to Flint Leonard had worked around to third, and while Sutton faced Nolan he was caught off base avd would have been run down save for Flint’s outrageous throw to Warner. Instead, he tallied, tieing the score. The eighth inning was played, drawing blanks, and game was called to e'nable the Boatons to leave on tbe 6 p. m. train. Both sides were willing to draw, but the audience clamored lo play it out. It s a pify it wasn’t played out, for there will never be another such an opportunity to warm the Bcstot s. The visitors made six^errors, the home club four; the Isst named was equally divided between Nolsn/ Q :est, Houtz aud Flint. Houtz muffed a field throw by Roesp, Nolan gave a base on two called balls, and tbe others have been described. Quest, also, should be marked (or a ball which bounded between his legs. Both nines fielded well, but Warner and Mack carried off the hor o r 8, while Warner at the bat and in base running, magnificent catching, and superb throwing, showed what he can do when fco v.il 1 . The umpiring was by an amateur, and was of the amateur kind To day the Fines went to Cincinnati, and will return to morrow to meet the St. Loris Browns. Yesterday tee Cin* cinnetis beat tbeChicagos 9 to 1, and the Hartfords warmed the Alleghanys 6 to 0. Tbe St. Louis Browns were chicag ed7 to 0, at Louisville. Harry Wright yesterday afternoon showed his ability to manage not only the affairs of tbe Bostons, but of the Bines, and closed the game on the eighth inning to avoid defeat. If the management here allows such circus tricks to be pltyed it will soon be felt in tbe receipts. Many of tbe audience yesterday howled lustily over the swindle. Dreadful Mystery. Yesterday afternoon two buggies, one containing two men and the other two women, drove cut tbe river road, and when opposite the Michigan street bridga, one occupant of each vehicle exchanged seats. HIS SUCCESS.
Dr. Von Moschzisker His now been eleven months in Indianapolis. Daring that time he has treated with great success hundreds of the uevereet cauee of CATARRH, THROAT, LUNG, CHEST Diseases, Deafness, Noises in the Head, IMPAIRED SIGHT and other OBSTINATE CHRONIC MALADIES, some of which have been pronounced incurable He has published 120 TESTIMONIALS of cures from the very best citizens of Indianapolis and vicinity. Though frequently requested to visit other cities in the State, he finds it impoesible to do so at present, as most of these who now apply for treatment come by the recommendation of PATIENTS CUBED. He would, however, URGE on all from the city and vicinity who desire to be TREATED by him to call without FURTHER DELAY at his office, Grand Hot®!, if they desire the full benefit of his per sonal attendance on their cases.
