largest fund-raising event for the organization each year. This year’s goal for the 3-or 6-mile pledge event are 650 walkers raising $40,000. Funds from the Memory Walk help in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease and to provide support and education services to people afflicted with the disease, their caregivers and family members in the Michiana area. The Memory Walk is best described as a “fest-event” with entertainment venues, a hearty post-walk picnic

Entertainers including local bands, violinists, folk singers, clowns, magicians, caricaturists, jugglers, dancers, storytellers, face painters, banjos and bagpipers are featured along the walk. The course will accomodate speed walkers, runners and skaters. The walk is a familyoriented event for all ages. The course is stroller and handicapped accessible. Families and victims of Alzheimer’s disease are encouraged to attend and walk in memory or honor

of a loved one. Cumulative off-site exercise activity (swimming, biking, running, etc.) at your own pace and time is also away to participate in the Memory Walk. Registration for the walk will take place in Howard Park at 11:30 a.m. The rally begins at 12:30 p.m., with the course and entertainment venues opening at 1 p.m. The picnic will then start at 2 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to top individual walkers and teams.
