Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marcy and Teresa Hayden Trust Fund, in care of Teachers Credit Union. GEORGE R. HEIM George R. Heim, 87, of 403 W. Maple St., North Liberty, passed away at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 27, in St. Joseph’s Medical Center, South Bend, after a two-year illness. He was born May 13, 1909, in North Liberty, to George and Cora Ellen (Ort) Heim. On Feb. 28, 1932, in LaPorte, he married Katherine McQuisten, who preceded him in death on Nov. 9, 1990. He was a 52 year member of the Masonic Lodge 266, North Liberty, a 25 year member of the North Liberty Fire Department and president of the North Liberty Town Board for 16 years. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Spier, of North Liberty; five sons, Gerald, of South Bend, and Alfred, Kris, Robert and James, of North Liberty; two sisters, Naomi Huff, of North Liberty, and Hazel Beldon, of Mishawaka; two brothers, Bill and Alfred, both of Walkerton; 19

grandchildren; 24 greatgrandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Bill and Richard “Muggs,” a brother, John and three sisters, Fern, Blanche and Roxie. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, in the Rannells Funeral Home^ Koontz Lakea Chapel, with Rev. Joan Haney officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Cemetery, North Liberty. Contributions may be made to the Cancer Society. STANLEY ORCUTT Stanley Orcutt, 84, of 317 Bordeaux Dr., LaPorte, passed away at 7 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 27, in the LaPorte Hospital. He was born Oct. 25, 1911 in Lorane, Ind., and lived in LaPorte for 23 years, coming from Walkerton. On April 12, 1935, in Columbia City, he married Elizabeth Egolf, who preceded him in death on Nov. 8, 1971. On Aug. 10, 1978, in LaPorte, he married Pauline Woods, who survives. Mr. Orcutt was retired and was the former owner of the Kingsbury Locker Plant, of Kingsbury, for 25 years. Also surviving are two ' sons, Richard Orcutt of Lake St. Louis, Mo. and Roger Orcutt, of Walkerton; two stepdaughters, Paula Getz, of Kingsbury, and Barbara Keene, of LaPorte; a stepson, Ray Woods, also of LaPorte; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and two sisters, Alice Clark, of Indianapolis and Marjorie Davidsen, of Cromwell, Indiana. He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Orcutt on May 2, 1966, along with his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Mr. Orcutt was a member of the First United Methodist Church of LaPorte, Moose Lodge of Michigan City, Masonic Lodge 619 of Walkerton, and Orak Shrine Temple of Michigan City. Services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, in the First United Methodist Church of LaPorte, with Rev. Harold Williams officiating. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
