Blackburn, U.S. Air Force, son of Jimmie and Donna Blackburn, of Koontz Lake, graduated from the U.S. Air Force Air Command and Staff College (ACSC), Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, on June 13th. ACSC is a ten month, professional military education school attended by the top 15 percent of Air Force majors annually. Those selected to attend the school, work through a curriculum focused on military force employment, headquarters staff skills and unit commander issues. Major Blackburn has also been selected to attend the Armed Forces Staff College in Norfolk, VA. Upon completion of this 12 week program, he, his wife Natalie, and their three children will report to the U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base near Omaha, Nebraska, where he will work as a headquarters staff officer. Blackburn is a 1979 graduate of Oregon-Davis High School. He received his bachelors of science degree from Purdue Univert sity and his masters of business administration from the University of South Dakota.
