Urey Middle School football practice will < begin on Monday, August 12th. Equipment will be handed out on Monday for Bth . graders and ond Tuesday for 7th graders.
Both squads will practice on Wednesday. The practices will be held at North Liberty Elementary School, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. All athletes need to have their physical prior to practice. Mouthpieces will be available for SI.OO. Any questions, call coach Davis at 656-3590 or coach Young at 586-3637.

Oregon-Davis Schools To Open August 15 The Oregon-Davis Schools will be registering students on Thursday, August 1 and Friday, August 2, from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Monday, August 5, from 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon. All students in Grades K-12 should be registered at the Jr-Sr School cafeteria. Enrollment/registration will be done by the computerized system. Student Identification Cards will be prepared for the first day of school (August 15th). Therefore, it is important that “ALL” students attend registration on one of these dates listed.
Residents Who Live In Hamlet/Grovertown Area August Ist — 1:00-7:00 p.m. Residents Who Live In Koontz Lake Area August 2 — 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. NEW ENROLLEES AND THOSE WHO COULD NOT MAKE AUGUST 1 & 2 August 5 — 8:00 a.m. - 12 Noon ALL STUDENTS MUST BE ENROLLED PRIOR TO FRIDAY, AUGUST 9th! Any student not enrolled during enrollment dates will be counted absent on the first day of school. All new enrollees must make an appointment with the Principal/Counselor and will be enrolled on August sth. This year the individualized student data has been entered in the computer and any changes will be made rather than re-inventing the wheel year-after-year, duplicating previously given data. This should expedite the amount of time required for enrollment. All students K-12 will be required to enroll on these dates or make previous arrangements with the building principals to take care of enrollment procedures and payment procedures prior to the first day of school. Classes for all students will begin on THURSDAY, AUGUST 15th. Classes will be from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Elementary and 8:00 a.m. until 3:10 p.m. at the Jr-Sr High School. Kindergarten classes will meet from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. for the morning class and 12:15 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. for the afternoon class. A child must be five years of age on or before June 1, 1996, to be eligible for Kindergarten and six years of age on or before June 1, 1996, to be eligible for first grade. All Elementary and Jr-Sr High children will receive notification of classroom assignment at registration. If your child is a Kindergarten student who has not been screened; he or she will be screened at this time also. If things go as planned, both schools will be utilizing a computerized accounting system for breakfast/lunch purchases. This system will operate as follows: You can pay by the week, by the month, by the semester or by the year. Each child will have a student I.D. Card (Elementary cards will be kept by the school) the amount of money paid will be entered into your . account and deducted as your jp child eats breakfast/lunch (makes purchases). ted to attend school for more than 20 days beyond the date of enrollment without this immunization documentation. Also, the law states that all students entering the sixth grade must have proof at time of registration of a second measles vaccination. SCHOOL LUNCHES The school cafeteria will serve lunches beginning August 15 and breakfast beginning August 19. Lunch tickets for the coming year will be sl.lO per day for students in Grades k-6 and $1.20 per day for students in Grades 712. Extra milk will cost 25 cents each. Applications for the free and reduced lunch program will be available at registration. In addition to lunch, the Elementary will continue to serve breakfast at a cost of 75 cents per day, beginning August 19th. The Jr-Sr High School will continue to serve breakfast ala carte style at a varying cost depending upon items taken. Those students qualifying for free and reduced lunch will retain that status for breakfast at the Elementary only.
