NOTICE TO BIDDERS Notice is hereby given that the Board of School Trustees of John Glenn School Corporation, Walkerton, Indiana will receive sealed bids for the purchase of a Media Distribution System at Urey Middle School, Walkerton, Indiana. Sealed bids will be received by John Glenn School Corporation, Walkerton, Indiana, on August 6, 1996, at 11:00 a.m., EST, at the office at 506 Roosevelt Road, Walkerton, Indiana 46574. Bids received after that time will be returned unopened to the bidder. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with a statement on the outside of the envelope reading “Sealed Bid: Media Distribution System - Do not open until August 6, 1996.” Each bidder shall furnish with his bid the following: 1. Bid shall be attached with Bid Proposal Form 95 as prescribed by the State Board of Accounts of Indiana. No equipment shall be listed on the Form 95. (Place bid prices on specifications.) NonCollusion affidavit must be executed. 2. Each out-of-state bidder must submit with the bid a Certififed Check payable to John Glenn School Corporation as a Bid and Suppy Deposit in the amount of 10Vo of the bid. In-state bidders may submit a Certified Check in the amount of SVo of the bid or an acceptable Bid and Supply Bond in the amount of SVo of the bid. 3. Should a successful bidder withdraw his bid or fail to execute a satisfactory contract, the owner may declare the bid deposit forfeited as liquidated damages, not a penalty. 4. Consideration and preference given to vendor who can provide total system solution including hardware, software, maintenance, training, and technical support. 5. Any bidder may withdraw his bid at any time prior to the scheduled time for receipt and opening of bids. No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the John Glenn School Corporation. 6. Acceptance of any bid will be based on the assumption that the bidder fully understands the specificiations and conditions, and accepts them with reservation. 7. Should any person submitting a bid have a question as to the true meaning of the specification, he may request interpretation from the owner at least 10 days prior to the bid opening.
Clarifications, if any, will be sent to all bidders 5 days prior to bid opening. Failure to request clarification shall be the sole responsibility of bidder. 8. The Board of School Trustees reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or any part of a bid and waive any informalities. Any such decision shall be considered final and not subject to further recourse. 9. All bidders shall include specification, manufacturer and descriptive brochures, model numbers and any other information concerning their equipment if different from item used as an example in specification. Said specifications, descriptive brochures, model numbers and any other information must be for equipment as stated bn your bid. HELEN E. LONG Helen E. Long, 78, of 17729 Walnut St., Tyner, passed away on July 14, at St. Joseph Hospital of Marshall County, Plymouth, following an illness. She was born on July 27, 1917, in Marshall County to Delbert R. and Blanche Mae Haag Pippenger and she had lived in Marshall County all of her life. She married Glenn E. Long on March 2, 1940, who preceded her in death on June 25, 1991. Surviving is a daughter, Carolyn Dimmitt, of Argos; a son, Norman Long, of Plymouth; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren and three brothers, John, of Plymouth; Dwight, of Walkerton and Raymond, of Tampa, FL. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Lemert, on Nov. 13, 1995. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the Plymouth Church of the Brethren with Rev. Paul Mcßride and Rev. Arthur Smith, officiating. Burial was in the Tyner Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation. She served as Marshall County Deputy Assessor for 24 years and prior to that she worked as a sales clerk for Montgomery Ward and Schultz Brothers Dime Store. She was a member of the Blissville Church of the Brethren. The JohnsonDanielson Funeral Home, Plymouth, was in charge of the arrangements. ROBERT A. MORRICAL Robert A. Morrical, 66, of Emerald Drive, South Bend, former co-owner of De Joss Pharmacy, Walkerton, passed away on Monday, July 15, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Services were held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, in the Forest G.
