day, July 7th during the 10:30 a.m. worship service and a special concert in the evening at 6:30 p.m. At the 10:30 service the first presentation will be made by former Walkerton resident, Donna Marie Klopfenstein, now a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada. Donna is the youngest daughter of Mrs. Pauline (Polly) Klopfenstein and the late Ed Klopfenstein. Donna was born and reared in Walkerton and she studied piano and later voice lessons from Sharon Klinedinst, of Walkerton. Donna after graduating from John Glenn High School went to Indiana State University, Terre Haute and the University of Las Vegas where she studied music and voice. Her musical theater credits include Man of La Mancha, Evita, Candide, Kismet and Fiddler On The Roof. Donna performs with several choral groups including the South Nevada Musical Arts Society and the Las Vegas Symphony. She moved to Las Vegas in 1984. work on the Las Vegas strip and at night she works six nights a week at the Excalibur Hotel where she performs several shows for thousands of tourists. Donna has been at the Excalibur Hotel since June of 1990 where they just had a huge six year celebration. Donna continues to sing in her local church each Sunday as she has done since 1985. Her dream is to become a Christian recording artist, traveling the world spreading love, peace and harmony through God’s word. Donna will also be performing at the church at a special concert to begin at 6:30 p.m. on July 7th. The second presentation will be made by “Freedom,” a men’s ensemble from Bethel College, Mishawaka. This group represented the college during the past year throughout the United States and Canada. The members of the group have been selected on the basis of musical ability and experience, academic qualifications and Christian commitment. “Freedom” continues the college’s musical tradition of showcasing rich, refined men’s harmonies. The ensemble presents a variety of music, ranging from traditional hymn texts, showcased in creative and innovative settings, to contemporary sacred songs featured by many of today’s popular religious
