The Family of Dorothy Knowlton TO ELECT DIRECTORS AT REMC MEETING Members of Kankakee Valley REMC will elect three members to the Board of Directors at their annual meeting to be held on Monday, June 24, at 7:30 p.m., at the Oregon-Davis High School, Hamlet. Registration will begin at 6:15 p.m. This will be the 56th annual meeting of the member-owned cooperative which serves over 15,000 members in a seven county rural area. Members of the Board of Directors from Districts 4, 6 and 8 will be elected from six candidates. Candidates from District 4 are John McDaniel and Ronald Pressel, Walkerton and Michael Kochanowski, North Liberty. District 6 candidates are Ronald R. Singleton and Glen C. Gearhart, Knox. District 8 candidate, Michael Yankauskas, Grovertown, is running unopposed. Nominations may also be made from the floor. One member will be elected to represent each district for a three-year term. Pickett’s Crossing, singing group, is the featured entertainment for the night. Clowns-Dabbles, Tumbleweed and Clover will be on hand to entertain the children present. Besides the election of directors and entertainment, the members will review the 1995 annual report of the cooperative, hear a report from General Manager Paul D. Walker and transact any necessary business. Cash prizes will be awarded throughout the night. Each member registered will receive a “non-blinking” clock and a $5 credit on their electric bill. ♦**
