LaPaz and Walkerton. Mary was a graduate of North Liberty High School and Howard is a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. The party was hosted by Virgil and Linda Gingrich and their daughter, of Wakarusa. Howard played with the Hoosier Sundowners country band for a number of years. ON DEAN’S LIST Adam Jacob, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Glenn Jacob, 501 Van Buren Street, Walkerton, has been named to the dean’s list for the winter quarter of academic year at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, which is a private engineering and science college, in Terre Haute. GRADUATES Angela L. Strang, Sage Road, Plymouth; Carl Christensen, 603 Indiana St., Walkerton and Jason Hickman, Stanton Road, Walkerton, received degrees from Indiana University during the May 4th ceremonies. Strang received her bachelor of science degree in business; Christensen received his master of science in environmental science and Hickman received his bachelor of arts degree. SUMMER FUN Plan on attending a funfilled summer at the new baseball field located in Walkerton. A lot of hours have gone into improving our grounds for the children of the Walkerton area. The season runs from May 20 to July 12. 19th with a family dinner at Miller’s Home Case, in New Carlisle. Elizabeth Schroeder and Richard Moreau were married on May 22, 1946, in St. Peter’s Catholic Church by Rev. Theodore Fettig. Their attendants were Georgiana Schroeder and Norbert Nowak. The couple have three children, Robert Moreau and Denise Lloyd, of LaPorte and Paula Gierlowski, of Grovertown; 11 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. One great grandson, Christopher Veach, is deceased. Elizabeth retired from Hedwin Corp, in LaPorte, after ten years and Richard retired from Ray & Kenny’s SuperValu, in Walkerton. At the present Richard is working part-time at the Koontz Lake Supermarket. Both Mr. and Mrs. Moreau are members of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Walkerton.
