The examinations will be given on Tuesday, May 21, from 8:00 to 11:15 a.m. at the JGHS. Physical examinations are a requirement for students who plan on participating in high school or middle school sports. An athlete must have a pink physical form completed with signatures and the $7.00 fee turned in to the office before noon on Friday, May 17. Checks should be made payable to the John Glenn High School. Parents and students are to complete parts 1, 2 and 3 on the pink physical form. For school year, please put 1996-97 and your grade level should be the grade you will be in next year. Dr. Engel, Dr. Hershberger, Dr. Long and Dr. Gardner will be giving the physical exams. ATHLETIC SLIPS OFFERED AT JGHS The IHSAA athletic physical will be offered at John Glenn High School, on Tuesday, May 21, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Students entering grades 1011 and 12, for the 1996-97 school year, who plan to participate in athletics, may obtain an athletic physical

by completing the student and parent sectioh of the IHSAA form and returning it along with the $7 fee. The physical form and fee must be returned to the JGHS athletic department by Friday, May 17. All-Day Kindergarten Registration Registration for St. Patrick’s All-Day Kindergarten Enrichment Program is going on now. If your child currently attends pre-school or day care, he may be ready for the longer day this program allows. At the all-day program the morning hours by the students are experiencing regular kindergarten curriculum followed by a short rest period in the afternoon then the program focuses on enhancing the skills learned earlier. The all-day program also allows children to participate in music, art and computer classes. For more information or to register your child, call Sister Dian at 586-7405. Naturalist Schedule At Potato Creek State Park ’ This weekend, St Potatq Creek State Park ’ naturalists have several programs planned for the public. On Saturday, May 11, at 9 a.m. is the park patch program for those five years old and older at the Nature Center. Come find out how you can earn a patch while enjoying the park. Then at 10 a.m. is the Woodland Wander walk to explore trail 4, this will be around a 2 hour walk.
Meet at the Porter-Rea Cemetery. Then at 2 p.m. is the program, “Return of the Rattlesnake Masters” to be held at the Nature Center auditorium. Come and hear about plans to restore the park and bring back some of its original inhabitants. Sunday, May 12 at 9 a.m. is the park patch program and at 10 a.m. is the bats and bananas program. Then at 2 p.m. is the raptors of Indiana program in the auditorium.
