Barry L. Houser, of North Liberty, is the recipient of the Student Government Association Scholarship. This award is given to individuals who have displayed such virtues as leadership, honesty, service to the college and scholarship. Barry’s involvement in many activities and his contributions to the college have made him the ideal candidate for this award. He was quoted as being the “epitome of a nice guy,” by senior class president, Cara Broughton. Barry is majoring in music education with an applied major in voice and trumpet. His activities in-
clude playing trumpet in the symphony, pep and jazz bands, the Florida Southern brass quintet; singing in the chorale of which he is president, Southern Singers and Lakeland Choral Society; Sweetheart for the Delta Omicron Sorority; member of the Vagabonds & Student Union board; respresentative of Florida Southern College for the LEAD Congerence based at Disney University, a Southern Ambassador for the College, Orientation Leader; Worship Coordinator; Song Leader and Director of Music for chapel services at the HESTERS CABIN BED & BREAKFAST BF. 8 H - ■■ ■ nJi ...
