GOLF NEWS The Glenn golf team defeated North Judson at Bass Lake Golf Course, on Tues., April 16, 168 to 170 in a triangular match. Knox defeated Glenn 165 to 168. Brian Lyle, of Glenn, was medalist at 38 followed by Brett Hulse 42; Torey Collins 43; Ryan Schmeltz 45 and Jake McPhail 47. The junior varsity also split with Knox and North Judson. Knox led with 184 followed closely by Glenn at 186 to Judson’s 211. Bill Meyer led the Falcons with a 44 followed by Nate Downey and Jeremy Craig with 47. Shawn Alspaugh shot a 48 in his number six position and Jeremy Martin finished with a 49. April 18th Glenn hosted Culver and claimed a victory by the score of 168 to 196. Glenn participated in the LaVille FreshmanSophomore tourney on Sat., April 20, at Sprig-O-Mint with a field of 19 teams. The Falcons shot well finishing fifth. Freshman Brett Hulse led his teammates in eighth place with an 89. Classmate Meyer played well, finishing 10th with an 89. Other scorers for Glenn were Andy Young 93; Daube 95; Alspaugh 100; Downey 104 and Brian Hostetler 114. Glenn traveled to McCormick’s Creek on Tuesday to challenge North Wood, Bremen and Triton. Thursday the Falcons will host Bremen and Jimtown before participating in the Marshall County Tournament, on Sat., April 27, at Culver.
