Pastor Sunday 8 a.m., Easter Sunrise Service at North Liberty Park, on N. Jefferson St. This is an outdoor service so dress warm. Everyone welcome. Revival Service At The First Baptist Church The First Baptist Church of Walkerton will have Revival Services, April 14 through the 19th with Evangelist Darcel McCoy, of Michigan City, as the special speaker. The Sunday services will be at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. and the evening service is set for 7:00 p.m. Darcel and Gale were married on June 18, 1977, and they have four children, Charmaine, Sharon, Darcel, Jr. (Butch) and Faith. They will also accompany him in the services. Darcel was born and reared in Gary, IN. As a teenager he was a typical “Juvenile delinquent.’’ Fortunately, in 1970, he managed to graduate from high school. After several years as a rock musician and singer, Darcel found himself facing the fact that he was wasting his life away. Realizing the pleasures of sin only last a little while, he begaH to seek for contentment that the world could not satisfy. As a result of reading the Bible and being witnessed to by earnest soul-winnners, he was saved in Los Angeles, in 1975. After returning to his hometown, he was called to preach and began preaching in January of 1977. Eventually, he pastored a traditional “Missionary” Baptist Church in Gary. After several years there he left to start an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church in Gary. In 1988 he entered Fairhaven Baptist College where he graduated in the spring of 1994. The public is welcome and invited to the Revival Services at the church which is located at Clark and Maine Streets, in Walkerton. Rev. D. O. Van Dyne is the pastor.
